Prophezeiungen über sein Erscheinen
Gott hatte Mosesas prophezeit, daß Er einen Propheten, der wie er sein würde, aus seinen Brüdern erwecken würde (5. Mose 18:18). Damit konnte nicht Jesusas gemeint sein, denn Jesusas war nicht wie Mosesas ein gesetzbringender Prophet, sondern gekommen, um die Thora (das Gesetz Moseas) zu erfüllen, nicht aufzulösen (Mt. 5:17). Und er ist wie Mosesas ein Nachkomme der israelitischen Linie und nicht einer aus der Linie seiner Brüder, die von Ismael abstammen.
Wer aber war dieser Prophet dann? Auch Jesusas hatte ja das Erscheinen eines nach ihm erscheinenden Gottesgesandten angekündigt, der „in die ganze Wahrheit leiten“ würde (Joh. 16:12-14), womit nicht der Heilige Geist gemeint sein kann, der ja schon vorher unter den Jüngern war, sondern ebenfalls ein Prophet sein mußte, eben derselbe, den bereits Mosesas verkündet hatte.
Mit dem Erscheinen des Heiligen Propheten Muhammadsaw wurden beide Prophezeiungen erfüllt. Muhammadsaw entstammt der ismaelitischen Linie und er brachte das vollkommene Gesetz von Gott – den Heiligen Koran.
Sein Leben vor dem Prophetentum
Bereits vor seiner Berufung zum Propheten war Muhammadsaw als ein aufrichtiger, wahrhaftiger Mann bekannt, so rechtschaffen und wahrhaftig, daß er von Freund und Feind nur „Amin“ (d.h. der Gerechte, der Wahrhaftige) genannt wurde.
Er führte ein untadeliges Leben und hielt sich von den Ausschweifungen fern, die unter den Arabern damals üblich waren. Mit 25 Jahren heiratete er Hadhrat Khadijara, die um seine Hand angehalten hatte.
Die Zeit der Berufung und weitere Offenbarungen
Als der Heilige Prophet Muhammadsaw, der sich des Öfteren zur Meditation und zum Gebet in die Einsamkeit zurückzog, eines Tages eine Vision empfing, in der ihm eine Gestalt erschien, die den ganzen Horizont einnahm, wurde er überwältigt vor Ehrfurcht. Diese Gestalt, die sich als Erzengel Gabriel kundtat, übermittelte ihm die ersten Verse des Heiligen Koran. Er wurde aufgefordert zu verkünden, daß es nur einen einzigen Gott gäbe, und daß Er (Gott) die Menschen auf ihren Weg zum Frieden und zur Glückseligkeit leitet.
Als der Heilige Prophet Muhammadsaw seiner Frau Hadhrat Khadijara von dieser Vision berichtete, glaubte sie ihm und bestärkte ihn darin, daß dies eine Mitteilung des allmächtigen Gottes sei, Der Sich mit dem Eigennamen Allah ihm offenbart hatte.
In der Folge wurden dem Heiligen Prophetensaw weitere Offenbarungen gewährt, in denen Allah verkündete, dass alle Menschen für ihre Taten Rechenschaft ablegen müssen, und dass das Ziel des Erdenlebens und sein Sinn darin bestehe, die Seele zu läutern, sich von Egoismus zu befreien und die Nähe und Liebe Allahs, ja schließlich sogar eine Vereinigung mit Ihm zu erlangen, so dass, der Mensch, der diesen beschwerlichen Pfad beschreitet, zu Glück und Erlösung von Übel und Leiden geführt wird und das Paradies betritt.
Die Zeit nach seiner Berufung und die zentrale Botschaft des Islam
Nur wenige der Menschen aus der Umgebung des Heiligen Prophetensaw in Mekka glaubten ihm, als er dies kundtat und zudem erklärte, dass Allah ihn zum Propheten auserwählt hatte, dem alle diejenigen folgen sollten, die Allah ehren und bereit wären, ihre weltlichen Interessen um Seinetwillen zu opfern, um dadurch wahres und immerwährendes Glück zu finden.
Vor allem Frauen und Sklaven indes verstanden, dass tatsächlich Allah Selbst den Heiligen Propheten Muhammadsaw als eine Sonne des geistigen Universums entsandt hatte. Unter den ersten Gläubigen waren Hadhrat Khadijara, die Ehefrau des Heiligen Prophetensaw und Hadhrat Abu Bakrra, der spätere erste Khalifa nach dem Tod des Heiligen Prophetensaw.
Sie nahmen unglaubliche Verfolgung und Unterdrückung seitens der Mekkaner auf sich, die nur um ihrer weltlichen Gelüste willen lebten. Die ersten Muslime bezeugten durch Wort und Tat die zentrale Botschaft des Islam: Es gibt nur Einen, Einzigen Gott, Der allein anbetungswürdig ist, Er allein hört die Gebete und beantwortet sie, Er allein gibt Führung und ist der Herr der Himmel und der Erde, Er ist das himmlische Licht, mit dem die Suchenden erleuchtet werden können, und Er allein ist der wahre Freund des Menschen.
Der Heilige Prophet Muhammadsaw indes ist der von Ihm Auserwählte, dem die vollkommene Botschaft Gottes an die Menschen, der Heilige Koran (deutsch: das oft gelesene heilige Buch) offenbart wurde, dem nachzufolgen Frieden und Seligkeit in dieser wie der nächsten Welt bedeutet.
Jahre der Verfolgung
13 Jahre lang wurden der Heilige Prophetsaw und die mit ihm Glaubenden grausam verfolgt, Morde wurden verübt und dem Heiligen Prophetensaw wurde nach dem Leben getrachtet, da er nicht aufhörte, die Einheit Gottes zu verkünden und die Falschheit und Lüge des Glaubens an Götzen, seien sie aus Stein oder immateriell wie der Götze Reichtum, darzulegen.
Auswanderung nach Medina
Als die Lage äußerst gefährlich wurde und die Mekkaner beschlossen, den Heiligen Prophetensaw zu töten, erlaubte Gott ihm und den Muslimen, auszuwandern. Sie fanden Zuflucht in einer Stadt namens Yathrib, die heute Medina heißt. Aber die Mekkaner waren fest entschlossen, den Islam auszurotten. Sie forderten die Bewohner von Yathrib auf, die Unterstützung für den Heiligen Prophetensaw zu beenden. Anderenfalls würden sie die Stadt angreifen, die Männer töten und die Frauen und Kinder der Stadt versklaven.
Kurz darauf marschierten sie mit einem Heer von 1.000 kampferprobten Männern in Richtung Medina. Das Leben aller Bürger von Medina stand auf dem Spiel. Daraufhin gestattete Gott dem Heiligen Prophetensaw, sich zu verteidigen.
In einer Anzahl von Gefechten erlangten die Muslime, obwohl sie in der Minderzahl und unzulänglich ausgerüstet waren, schließlich den Erfolg über die tyrannischen Feinde.
Rückkehr nach Mekka
Die Mekkaner ergaben sich den nach Mekka vorrückenden Muslimen kampflos, fürchteten indes nun, für all die Grausamkeiten, die sie an den Muslimen begangen hatten, dem Strafgericht durch den Heiligen Prophetensaw unterworfen zu werden.
Aber der Heilige Prophet Muhammadsaw erließ eine Amnestie und begnadigte seine Peiniger. Zu denen, die ihn fast zwei Jahrzehnte lang brutal verfolgt hatten, sagte der Heilige Prophetsaw nur: „Heute trifft euch kein Tadel“.
Die Folgezeit
In der Folge nahm Arabien den Islam an, was nun aber wiederum die umliegenden Staaten in Aufregung versetzte. Die Herrscher Roms und Persiens hatten Angst, daß die befreiende Lehre des Heiligen Koran, die den Frauen Rechte gab, wie man sie zuvor niemals kannte, und die den Sklaven Freiheit versprach, die Mündigkeit predigte und den Erwerb von Wissen zu einer Pflicht für Mann und Frau machte – daß also diese Lehre auch auf die von ihnen unterdrückten Massen übergreifen könnte.
Sie zogen folglich mit riesigen Heeren gegen die Muslime, erlitten indes Niederlagen, so daß sich der Islam in Windeseile in viele Richtungen, bis hin nach Indien und Europa, ausbreitete.
Das Vorbild des Heiligen Prophetensaw
Der Heilige Prophet Muhammadsaw war von Allah zum Vorbild für alle Menschen auserkoren.
Er war immer geduldig, stets demütig, bis zum Äußersten wahrheitsliebend und gerecht, sowie stets freundlich zu Kindern, Älteren, Nachbarn und Andersgläubigen. Darüberhinaus war er in Krisenzeiten äußerst tapfer und ausdauernd. Sein Leben zeugt beispielhaft in allen Bereichen von Größe und Charakter, seien es die Bereiche der Ehe und der Vaterschaft, der Entbehrung und des Reichtums, oder auch des Leidens und des Erfolges.
Die Wege dazu, die der Heilige Koran weist, umfassen all jene Gottesdienste, die den Menschen zu einem sinnvollen Dasein führen – das tatsächliche Bekennen und verwirklichende Bezeugen der absoluten, unteilbaren Einheit Gottes, das Gebet zu Ihm als Quelle des Trostes, der Hilfe und des Erlangens aller edlen Ziele, das Fasten als aufrüttelndes Erspüren des Mitleids und der Segnungen des Opferns, das Spenden als Mittel der Reinigung von weltlicher Anhaftung, die Pilgerfahrt zum zentralen, ersten Gotteshaus der Menschheit, der Kaaba in Mekka, als Symbol für die Reise der Seelen zur Selbstüberwindung und dem Aufgehen in Gott.
*Hinweis: Nach der Nennung des Namens des Heiligen Propheten Muhammadsaw ist es im Islam üblich, für ihn das Gebet „Frieden und Segnungen Allahs seinen auf ihm“ zu beten, im Text dargestellt durch das hochgestellte Zeichen „saw“ (arabisch = ßallala-ho aläihi wa’assalam ).
